Pork Knee Stew With Collagen!

We women are ready to do anything for beauty, and this can be understood literally.
I am also inclined to do things that are completely opposite to my principles, and even experience fully strange things with positive feelings and thoughts. This happened in case of the pork knee stew as well.
I got a hot tip that there is an incredible amount of collagen in the pork knee stew that makes your skin regain its condition as it was at the age of sixteen. Of course, I don’t just give credit to all sorts of legends, especially when it comes to such sensitive issues, as eternal youth. So I asked my favourite dermatologist what she thinks of the above-mentioned incredible case. She was eagerly nodding. “That's true” she said. The pork knee consists of a lot of collagen and what is more important, it builds into the skin. However, don’t forget that apart from collagen it also contains a lot of fat, which isn’t really good for the body. “I would recommend” she went on “you to eat something hot with it and after that drink one or two shots to help your digestion.”
Well, well, this whole collagen intake has got to be a pretty messy business and actually following a rather lengthy struggle (I was thinking about it whole day) I gave up (since slimness is also one of the most important aspects of life), or more precisely up until the next day when I came across a roadside board which said “Pork-knee Restaurant”. I immediately grabbed my phone. They said that they deliver food. I ordered two portions of pork knee stew – I thought to myself I make my husband as young as I am. One hour later the stew arrived. It has an odour. Not a great one. We got started. Two minutes later, my husband announced that he would only eat the meaty parts and not those jelly-like things. “You wanna miss parts full of collagen?” I asked in astonishment. “That’s why we do this whole business!” I sorted out the pieces with collagen and focusing on the important thing took them into my body. “How on earth can you eat those fatty rags with such a good feeling?” asked my husband. “I am constantly thinking of rejuvenating, in my imagination I already see myself ten years younger.” I said. “Unbelievable!” he shook his head.
The two portions of stew landed in our stomachs within a quarter of an hour and after eating we did so in the living room, straight on the couch. We were lying there heavily, with a ful belly, wambling and fell asleep. Hours later we woke up. Well rested and beautiful. Although it may be true that there is collagen in pork knee stew, which tightens the skin, but nothing rejuvenates you better than a good night sleep, when your body is regenerating. The rejuvenating effect of the pork knee stew really works. Although it is nearly a half-day program, but it's worth. Its skin-tightening effect directly and immediately detectable.

When All Seems Lost — and Even When It Doesn’t…

When All Seems Lost — and Even When It Doesn’t… As a writer, I read more than average. Not necessarily books that fall within my immediate interests, but rather those I can learn from, marvel at, analyze word by word, and sometimes even those that demand more effort from me than usual. That is how it is with Alice Munro. I bought my first book by her when she received the Nobel Prize. Then life happened, and the volume sat on my bookshelf—either I had no time for it, or it lingered somewhere at the bottom of my list of priorities. When I finally picked it up, I could hardly believe my eyes—or my reaction. First, I was utterly outraged; my blood pressure shot through the roof in an instant, and I almost started swearing in disbelief. I had barely skimmed the first few lines, yet that was enough to know: it was perfect. A true masterpiece. Excellence among the excellent. Every word reached the deepest layers of my soul. I was touched by its purity, its delicacy, the noblest simpli...

Evening thought

Now and then journalists in search of copy ask me what is the most thrilling moment of my life. If I were not ashamed to, I might answer that it is the moment when I began to read Goethe’s Faust. I have never quite lost this feeling, and even now the first pages of a book sometimes send the blood racing through my veins. To me reading is a rest as to other people conversation or a game of cards. It is more than that; it is a necessity, and if I am deprived of it for a little while I find myself as irritable as the addict deprived of his drug. I would sooner read a time-table or a catalogue than nothing at all. That is putting it too low. I have spent many delightful hours poring over the price-list of the Army and Navy Stores, the lists of second-hand took-sellers and the A.B.C. All these are redolent of romance. They are much more entertaining than half the novels that are written. /W.S.Maugham/
